With the aim of determining policies for humanitarian mine/unexploded ordnance activities to be carried out within the borders of the Republic of Türkiye, planning and managing these activities, monitoring their implementation in accordance with the determined principles, and providing the required coordination and cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions and organizations, Turkish Mine Action Center was established under the scope of the Law No. 6586 on "the Establishment of the National Mine Action Center and the Amendments to Certain Laws" dated 03 February 2015 and started to operate on July 27, 2015 as the authority for the implementation of humanitarian mine/unexploded ordnance activities.

          The duties and authorities of Turkish Mine Action Center were rearranged by the Article No. 342 of the Presidential Decree No. 1 on the Presidential Organization published on July 10, 2018.

          It continues its activities in the settlement of Machinery and Chemical Industry Inc. (Anadolu Meydanı).
