EXPLOSİVE ORDNANCE RİSK EDUCATİON (EORE)
Purpose of mine/ unexploded ordnance risk education is to decrease the injury by raising awareness about the risk of mine/ unexploded ordnance and to develop behaviour change among risk groups.
In the process followed under the EORE; from communities at risk and other sources, information on mine/unexploded ordnance hazard, endangered areas, endangered communities, the effects of mine/unexploded ordnance on the civilian population, mine accidents and victims and activities to assist victims informations are collected.
In accordance with the data obtanied (gender, age, economic,social,cultural factors, educational status, type of risk-bearing ordnance, risk status etc.) the size, effects and risk groups of the hazard are determined and prioritized among the regions in order to plan EORE.
Generally, EORE is done by visiting the regions under risk and making presentations as well as delivering and persuasive training materials, safety messages to our citizens.
In addition to the EOREto be delivered, messages to support sustainable behaviour change can be supplemented with interpersonal communication, mass media, media organs, posters, brochures etc. All kinds of materials are used to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of EORE.
